Prof Belinda Colston (Co-Investigator)
Research Interests
Her research crosses the boundaries of chemistry, materials science and cultural heritage, and focuses on the underlying chemical and physico-chemical processes that affect the degradation and sustainability of heritage assets (both moveable and immoveable) in a changing environment. Key areas of research fall into three categories: understanding decay mechanisms; designing new conservation materials; and developing new methodologies for professional practice.
